In order to keep things tasting fresh, we change our House coffee with the seasons. This new coffee from Baixadao in Brazil maintains the sweet, chocolatey goodness you would expect from a house-style coffee. It makes a great espresso and works well with milk.
This coffee is from a small family run farm in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Sitio Baixadao is famous for its quality and is a former Cup of Excellence winner. But it isn't just quality that makes this farm perfect for us, their approach to sustainability is excellent. They not only hand-pick everything (reducing the use of heavy agricultural machinery) but also inter-crop and limit their use of artificial fertilisers, which is sadly almost unheard of in Brazilian coffee farming.
This coffee is roasted so that it tastes best as espresso, or a milky filter. We aim for coffee to be as freshly roasted as possible before we dispatch.
