An epic Colombian coffee from La Esmeralda, a 6-hectare farm in Buenavista, Quindio, run by Cesar Buesaquillo and his family.
Cesar grew up around coffee, visiting the farms where his parents worked as pickers and farm managers. Around 20 years ago, they were able to buy La Esmeralda, which Cesar now runs with his wife Maria and their son Kevin.
The farm sits at 1,800 metres above sea level and is planted with shade trees including Guamo, Yarumo and Carbonero, alongside crops such as plantain, banana and avocado.
